Originally named ‘Medical Technology Services Ltd’ (commonly known as M.T.S. Ltd), the company was launched in 1978 and the early years saw its operations focused mainly in installation and maintenance contracts in North Africa for Coultronics of France and Philips Medical Systems of Holland. This enabled M.T.S. Ltd to acquire hands-on experience in the servicing of hospital and laboratory equipment achieving, in the process, a solid reputation for ability, credibility and reliability.

A milestone and a logical step forward in the Company's evolution was the transition from a purely servicing firm to a restructured organisation with strategic objectives encompassing sales and advisory services pertaining to a wider range of product lines including scientific equipment, hospital products and other product segments not directly related to these fields.

In 1987, the corporate name was changed from Medical Technology Services Ltd. to Technoline Ltd. as a move intended to impart a broader prospective of the Company's diversified product and service base. The change of name, at the same time, reflected more accurately the 'raison d'etre' of its core business, namely that of its offering a professional and efficient service in all areas of the many and varied operations which it undertakes.

In 1991 the operations moved from Sliema to a modern and more logistically centred location in Gzira, a suburb in the vicinity of St. Luke's General Hospital (then the general hospital in Malta), the University of Malta, and various private clinics. The new local state-of-the-art general hospital called ‘Mater Dei’, which was inaugurated in 2007, is situated within a 5 minutes drive from Technoline’s offices.

With well over 30 years experience, Technoline is a pioneer in the medical & scientific industries in Malta and a trusted supplier for many years.
