Leading Maltese and International businesses in both the medical and scientific fields have chosen Technoline at one point or another, including St. James Hospital, Brandstaetter, Malta Standards Authority, Mater Dei General Hospital and University of Malta.

The following is a more technical overview of what services are involved:

•    Virtual Environment Radio Therapy (VERT) System / Technoline assisted the University of Malta (UoM) with launching a new course for radiographers which includes radio therapy training in line with government’s push toward new oncology;

•     Linear Accelerators / Technoline was contracted to supply 3 linear accelerators and an oncology information system in partnership with Ergon Projects (Malta), the first of its kind (being digital) locally, in Sir Paul Boffa hospital, whilst 2 further linear accelerators are expected to be installed at the new oncology centre situated at Mater Dei Hospital. Technoline supports these linear accelerators through with the services of a team of trained and experienced engineers and technicians based in Malta;

•    Mater Dei (Generic) / Technoline was chosen by the integrator responsible for the supply and installation for Mater Dei Hospital medical infrastructure to assemble, install, test and commission circa 36,000 items (ranging from third party medical equipment to hospital furniture, performing thousands of electrical safety tests and certifications, and assisting with numerous operator training sessions) into the new hospital within 6 months;

•    Mater Dei (Specialised) 

(1) Plasma irradiator required to render blood products safer prior to administration as per EU requirements. Technoline engineers involved with service & maintenance of products using ionizing radiation in Malta are fully trained and certified as radiation workers;

(2) Supply and installation of Anaesthesia Simulation System to assist professionals and trainees to improve their skills and shorten their learning curve within simulation environment;

(3) Supply and long term maintenance of a complete endoscopy system with over 24 endoscopes, and this system is locally maintained by our service engineers who have been certified to perform major repairs;

(4) Supply and installation of a sleep study system;

(5) Supply and support including clinical training of the latest generation of drug eluting coronary stents and ICD’s (Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators);

(6) Technoline has worked to introduce automated external defibrillators in public places and has today installed over a 150 of these units;

(7) Orthopaedic Surgery Systems, especially trauma and knee replacement instrumentation and implants;

(8) Supply and installation of a system to measure anaesthetic gas levels in the operating rooms, to protect operation room personnel from adverse exposure to these gasses;

(9)  Introduction of deep brain stimulation in Malta at Mater Dei Hospital;

(10) Introduction of PENS or Percutaenous Electrical Nerve Stimulation to assist broadening the national pain clinic arsenal against pain;

(11) Introduction of continuous glucose monitoring systems in Malta;

•    University of Malta (UoM):

(1) Technoline was chosen for the to supply & installation of extensive, state-of-the-art lab furniture at the University of Malta;

(2) In conjunction with several educational intuitions Technoline have organised and facilitated cadaver workshops to train healthcare professional in various surgical therapies;

•    Malta based Pharmaceutical Industry:

Supply and installation of various lab systems in several pharmaceutical manufacturing companies (including Aurobindo);

• St.Lukes Hospital 2006 / Endoscopy Service contract: The forklift upgrade of the video flexible scopes and processor within the Endoscope department. Equipment includes Colonoscopes, Gastroscopes and Duodenoscopes.  //  Neurodiagnostics Suite: The supply, installation, and training of two state-of-the-art EEG machines, followed by a complete program of preventive and corrective maintenance by Technoline trained technicians.
